How To Use The Meal Plan
There are a couple of ways you can use this meal plan. You can follow it exactly as written and make a different dinner each night, or you can browse through the recipes ahead of time and pick the ones that sound best to you and your family. You'll find a great mix of comforting meals, lighter dinners, and vegetarian options throughout the month.

Personally, I like to plan only about a week at a time so my groceries stay as fresh as possible. To begin, I select the dinners I want to make for the week. Next, I put together a shopping list based on those recipes. I usually plan to make 5 dinners in 7 days. This gives me the option to have one meal that uses up all the leftovers. My leftover night might be a combination of two or three meals served buffet-style. The other extra night leaves us the option for dinner out or I'll throw in something easy we all love like my Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice, or Lemon Chicken Orzo Pasta.
Time Saving Hacks
Prepping ingredients for multiple meals at once can also save a lot of time during busy weeknights. For example, if you're cubing chicken for one recipe and know another recipe calls for sliced chicken the next day, you can prep both at the same time and store the extra in the fridge. You can also start marinating ingredients ahead of time (if called for) to build even more flavor. The same idea works well with vegetables too.
Another great time-saving trick is doubling recipes. Use extra portions as leftovers later in the week or freeze them for those especially busy nights when cooking feels impossible. Simply thaw in the fridge the night before and dinner will come together quickly and easily.
