About

A little bit more about me... I didn't start out in the kitchen. My background is in biochemistry, where I worked in cancer research before becoming a stay-at-home mom. During that time, I began focusing more on cooking with whole ingredients and moving away from processed foods. What started as a personal shift gradually turned into a new career in food photography and recipe development.

That journey led me to create The Recipe Nest, a place for reliable, well-tested recipes that highlight real ingredients and satisfying flavors. I want my blog to help people cook with real food and fewer processed ingredients - without making dinner feel complicated or time-consuming.

When I'm not in my kitchen/studio you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my family and energetic dog. We enjoy skiing, mountain biking, surfing, and disc golf.
